國民黨總統參選人朱立倫抵達華府，並於台灣時間今天(13日)清晨2度前往國務院會晤副國務卿布林肯，外界認為朱立倫的訪美規格不低於民進黨總統參選人蔡英文。對此，蔡英文今天表示，美方一再宣稱對於台灣的總統參選人待遇一致，也不會在台灣的選舉中選邊站，她呼籲媒體不要著墨於兩人的待遇比較，避免將此淪為選舉操作。
國民黨總統參選人朱立倫的訪美行程於台灣時間12日抵達華府，並於13日清晨2度前往國務院會晤副國務卿布林肯。由於民進黨總統參選人蔡英文5月訪美時也曾進出美國白宮國安會、國務院等官署，「英倫」兩人的訪美規格及待遇備受關注。
對此，蔡英文13日在台中出席產業政策發布會受訪時表示，美方一再強調對於台灣的總統參選人待遇一致，不會在台灣的選舉中選邊站，朱立倫訪美順利象徵台美關係的鞏固，她期盼媒體不要比較兩人的接待層級。蔡英文說：『(原音)我們也希望台、美的關係在這個議題上，幾個主要政黨大家共識程度能夠更高、更一致。我也注意到有些媒體有比較級的報導跟說法，我覺得談台美關係上老是講比較重視誰、誰的待遇比較好，這種層次就不高，也比較容易淪為選舉的操作，我們還是盡量避免。』
